Planning Section Head
Lead the planning team and drive effective project schedules, progress reporting and coordination.
Overview
Manage the planning team by providing effective guidance, supervision, motivation and engagement while ensuring smooth team operations and collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Develop project time schedules and budgets that meet project specifications.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure the best prices.
- Review existing processes, analyse staff performance and address deficiencies.
- Monitor and track project progress and prepare clear progress reports.
- Attend and schedule meetings as required.
- Delegate tasks and ensure team members receive feedback.
- Understand and meet all tender and contract requirements.
- Analyse technical drawings and provide material and cost estimates.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- PSP and management certification.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera, Microsoft Office and Visio.
- Ability to select appropriate tools for scheduling and reporting.
- Ability to understand contract requirements, analyse information and manage complexity.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational, time-management and strategic planning skills.
